Some weddings just have it all, dreamy golden light, an effortlessly stylish couple, and a location that looks like it’s leapt straight out of a glossy editorial spread. Kamille & Joe’s big day at Ivy Lodge in Cirencester was exactly that. A true love story set in the heart of the Cotswolds, wrapped in elegance and sprinkled with just the right amount of magic.
From the moment I arrived, it was clear this wasn’t going to be an average wedding. Ivy Lodge is a hidden gem, stately yet intimate, surrounded by lush countryside and bathed in that soft, creamy Cotswolds light that photographers dream of. Think timeless charm with a modern twist, the perfect backdrop for two people as stylish and smitten as Kamille and Joe. The bride arrived in serious style, a classic vintage car rolling up the long drive like something out of an old-school romance film. It was the kind of entrance that made everyone pause.
And then… the ceremony. Held right at Ivy Lodge, it was a beautiful blend of heartfelt vows, teary smiles, and pure joy. You could feel the love in the air, and yes, I may have gotten misty-eyed behind the camera (occupational hazard, I swear!).
As the sun began its golden descent, we snuck away for portraits, and wow. The scenery did not disappoint. Kamille was glowing, Joe looked like he’d stepped out of a magazine, and together they moved through the fields and gardens like they were made for this moment. Editorial-worthy? Absolutely. But more importantly, completely them.
The rest of the evening kicked off with incredible speeches, the kind that had everyone laughing one minute and wiping away tears the next. Heartfelt words, inside jokes, and just the right amount of nostalgia made it feel intimate and unforgettable.
Then came the dance floor, and wow, what a party. The energy was unreal. Every guest brought their A-game, and it turned into one of those dance floors you never want to leave. The kind of night where shoes come off, ties come undone, and everyone’s just living their best lives. From start to finish, Kamille & Joe’s day was the kind of wedding that reminds me why I do what I do.
